Month Theme: The Anointing

Topic: Constant Flow of the Anointing

Scripture Reading: John 3:1-8

Main Text:

John 3:8

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Jesus told His disciples when He was on earth that He was with them and would be in them. Being with them and being in them made them complete. The power of the Holy Ghost works in the believer’s life in two directions. There is the “within anointing” which is the abiding anointing in the person of the Holy Ghost in you. This anointing is what you use for daily victorious Christian living and for the fulfilment of your life-dreams. There is also the “without anointing”. This anointing comes upon you for a specific task at a certain time, when oil is poured upon you or hands are laid upon you. The “within anointing” and “without anointing” must both be operative in your life to make you complete.

The wind of the Spirit blows in any direction – sometimes He moves from within you and at other times He comes upon you from outside (John 3:8). The Holy Ghost is not limited. The dual manifestation of the Holy Ghost from within and from outside your life, brings you total transformation and makes it easier for you to constantly walk in the anointing. A constant flow of the anointing is the will of God for you. You don’t have to be empty.

When you understand this dual manifestation of the Holy Ghost, you become unlimited in your experience of the Holy Ghost. One thing every believer desires is to be in a constant flow of the anointing. It is possible to be anointed everyday of your life. There are times you may think you are not anointed, the reason being that you don’t appreciate the simplicity of the anointing. You expect to see something sensational and when that eludes you, you conclude that you don’t have the anointing. Sensational manifestations of the Holy Ghost are good and scriptural but the Holy Ghost does not always move that way.

Prayer: Pray for the grace to stay away from anything that will cause you to despise the Anointing on your life.
