COVETOUS THINKING -2
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…
When there was intense idol worship in Africa, what brought civilization to Africa was the Gospel. If we take the gospel out of this continent, we will be in trouble because the church is the only hope for Africa. Churches own most of the powerful schools in Africa. It was a church that established the first private university in Ghana. The church is playing a very significant role in our societies and so the way you are serving God as if you are doing someone a favour, shows that you lack understanding .
The reason you attend church the way you do, is that you think you can make it without God. It is a kind of covetous thinking.
I went to America one time and discovered that the lives of those who are not serving God are extremely miserable; they commit suicide like drinking water; but for those who are serving God, life is not easy but somehow they are able to stand because of whom they have believed.
Until you change your mind, you will go nowhere. Covetous thinking begins with the heart because everything starts from the heart. And so, the state of your heart determines the state of your life. How do I know this? “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he”. If you can change the way think, you can change your circumstance.
• Pray and say Lord help me think the right thoughts in my heart (Phil. 2:5)
• I cannot change your future until I change your mind.
• Philippians 4:8, Proverbs 4:23
