KAKRA BAIDEN: AIR POWER DEVOTIONAL
To “expose” means to cause someone or something to be influenced or affected by something. It is not every problem that you must try to tackle or solve; some problems can be avoided by non-exposure, which is the opposite of exposure. For example, if you have a problem with drinking, you must be careful not to expose yourself to situations where you can be influenced to drink.
There are certain plans and blessings, which must not be exposed to certain people because if they know it, they will fight it. This will distract you, drain your energy and sometimes kill what you are doing.
“After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.”
Although Jesus was the son of God and had access to great power, He avoided unnecessary problems with the principle of non-exposure. He did not walk in Jewry or Judea, because He knew the Jews wanted to kill Him. His attitude was not, “If God be for me, who can be against me,” but rather, He avoided certain problems.
If you don’t want to marry an unbeliever, do not expose yourself unnecessarily to them. Make friends and fellowship with Christians so that in case you fall in love, you will fall in love with the right person.
Decide to expose yourself to the right things, and avoid the wrong things. It shall be well with your soul!
