FAVOUR BEFORE MEN BY SAM KORANKYE ANKRAH
FAVOUR BEFORE MEN
“Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in place of his father Amaziah.”
2 Chronicles 26:1
As individual members of our social fabric, we all need each other to advance at what we do. The business needs clients, the leader needs followers, the pastor needs a congregation, the government needs electorates etc. Without the latter in each case, the former cannot function.
Uzziah, who became King of Judah, succeeded at that, mainly because he was the people’s choice. He had favour before the people and won their approval. He could not have become king without the people’s approval.
May I suggest to you that you need people in your life because no man is an island. You cannot arrive at your final destination in life without people helping you, pointing you in the right direction or introducing you to the right people.
In actual fact, God uses people as instruments or vessels to answer our prayer requests and bring us long awaited miracles. Whether it is prayer for a husband or wife, a new job, a scholarship or whatever desired goal, all these prayers are answered through people.
Since people are the instruments God uses to bless us, you need favour before men. Even our saviour Jesus Christ had favour before men.
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”
May I suggest to you that everyone in your life is there for a reason. It is not a coincidence that God brought them your way. Treat them with respect because you do not know who God will use to bring you that testimony.
Pray with me:
My Heavenly Father, grant me divine favour so I would have the approval of men: my spouse, my bosses, my workers, colleagues, congregants and everyone around me. I believe and pray this in Jesus name. Amen!
