HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one, which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
One of the major attacks of the devil is to take you away from the will of God; and once you are out of God’s will, he does not care whatever you do because everything becomes a struggle. Sometimes you will appear successful but deep down, you are empty. You can be in church and not be in the will of God, and so do not deceive yourself.
When you are in the centre of God’s will, favour is automatic. It is better to get sanctified people praying than to get a crowd of people who are not following Christ because the prayer of a sinner is an abomination to God (Prov. 28:9). If a sinner will pray for God to hear, then it is the prayer of salvation thus praying to come to Christ.
Having a relationship with Christ gives you a covenant right to use His name. “Whatsoever you shall ask the father in my name…” And so if you do not have a relationship with Jesus, you cannot use his name. You must have a covenant right based on salvation to use his name. Jesus says, “No one can come to the father except by me”. And so if you are sitting in church and you are not born again, do not deceive yourself; you are wasting your time. Have a relationship with Jesus and He will change your life.
• In case you are not sure of your relationship with Jesus, pray this prayer: say Lord Jesus; I know I am a sinner, and I cannot save myself. I accept you as my Lord and saviour. I know you came to die for my sake. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. Come into my heart Lord Jesus, and be my Saviour. Amen. (Rom. 10:9)
• Without salvation, it is impossible to see God.
