Month Theme: Divine Assistance

Topic: Impart the Zōē

Scripture Reading:

1 John 3:7-9

Main Text:

John 10:10
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Jesus Christ knew the colossal nature of the task He came to undertake. His commitment to His purpose was beyond satan’s determination to destroy people. It is impossible to enumerate the incidents in the Bible that prove that Jesus Christ was passionate about His assignment. On one occasion, He prayed to save the apostle Peter from satan’s destruction (Luke 22:31-32).

The devil and unclean spirits are relentless in the pursuit of their purposes. The purpose of believers is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to impart the ‘zōē’ into people. We cannot be lackadaisical in our approach towards our purpose. The wisdom and attitude of the unclean spirit we are studying in Luke 11:21-26 is a wakeup call to believers.

If satan and his cohorts show great determination to fulfil their purpose, we can’t do anything less than that. If unclean spirits can come together to destroy, believers whose agenda is to impart life should lay aside their prejudices and conflicts, dwell together, fight together and fulfil purpose.

Pray for the unity of the Church, and that we’ll receive grace to impart the zōē.
