IS GOD REALLY SLOW? – 1
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Many people think that God is slow because their blessings are delaying; God is not as slow as you think. He will soon bring to pass the things you are hoping for, and in case the thing is delaying; He can even cut it short. Maybe the thing is supposed to take a year but God can shorten it to six months. What took others ten years to accomplish will take you one year. Whatever the plan is, God says He has the capacity to cut it short. So God is not as slow as you think.
Even in the days of the Bible, there were people who even thought that God was slow. One of such people was David. David was the one God even referred to as “the man after my heart”. He was in the bush and God had to look for him to make him a king. He enjoyed a lot of divine blessings yet David complained at some point.
It is interesting to know that the people who even have God’s attention are rather the ones complaining. Let us check one of his complaints in Psalms 13:1 “How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? Forever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?” David came to the conclusion that the thing he was looking for and that which he was not getting meant that God had forgotten about him.
This is a similar situation with many believers today. They think that God has forgotten them so their attitude towards church has even changed. Sometimes a little patience can help the situation. I pray that God will put you on a platform that will make you unshakable again, and once you become unshakable, the devil cannot delay the manifestation of your blessings.
• Pray and ask God to give you the spirit of patience to wait for the appointed time. (Job 14:14)
• It is our lack of knowledge in Divine operation that makes us think that God is slow.
• 2 Peter 3:9, Ezekiel 12:28
