KEYS TO FRUITFULNESS
(Talents and Gifts)
Praise the Lord!
Today we shall discuss the next key to fruitfulness — TALENTS and GIFTS, as we close our discussion for this week.
“A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth”.
Proverbs 17:8 KJV
Everyone is created and blessed a gift or talent, which represents
your attitudes, skills or abilities at doing something.
These talents or gifts have financial or commercial values. Those who discover, develop and deploy them well enjoy the benefits.
There are three common mistakes committed the limit the impact of a person’s talent:
1. Not discovering your talent
2. Not developing your talents
3. Engaging or copying the talent of others.
You will derive optimal fruitfulness and satisfaction when you match your gifts or talents to your vocations, or you make an occupation out of them.
Our talents and gifts are like precious stones that need to be unearthed, refined and protected. As precious stones are usually not beautiful and useful in the beginning, so are talents; add value to them by refining them. Your gift will prosper your hands.
And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability.”
Matthew 25:15 NKJV
Everybody has a gift and each must discover their own, and use it accordingly. You are blessed with a gift. Use it!
Declare with me:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the gifts you have blessed me with, open my spirit to discover them all. Grant me grace to refine and employ them to your glory. Open doors and avenues for me to showcase these talents to bless others and bring glory to your name in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
