John 1:1-5; Luke 4:18-19

Main Text:
John 1:5
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

It is worthwhile to state that recovery of sight comes through Jesus Christ. The Greek word for “recovering of sight” in Luke 4:18 is ‘anablepsis’, which means restoration of sight. The word implies to look up, see or receive sight. Jesus does not make the blind see partially. He gives complete recovery of sight.

Jesus Christ came into the world to destroy spiritual blindness. He revealed God and His Word to the people and led them to Him. The Son of God declared that He is the way, the truth and the life. He said no man can come to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).

The way to destroy spiritual blindness is to bring light in. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. He shone upon the world during its creation and the darkness was destroyed. He created the sun and moon that give the earth physical light andHe is the light that overcomes spiritual darkness (John 1:1-5).

1. Pray that the light of Jesus Christ will shine upon everything you do to give you understanding and insight.
2. Pray also and call forth light into any darkness or confusion around you.
