Month Theme: Focus

Topic: Restoration – 2

Scripture Reading: Judges 8:22-32

Main Text:

Galatians 6:1

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

There is a way to handle those who willfully persist in sin. The pastor must be led by the Spirit to do this. In the wilderness, Moses sought the face of God on disciplinary issues. It cannot be different today. Every leader must refuse to be pressured to hate others.

John the Baptist was another leader who refused to be driven into strife by the pressure of the people. His disciples wanted to monopolise the ministry but he sought to magnify God and not himself.

It is dangerous to work your way up by killing others. You must strive for leadership lawfully. It must be in the will of God. Premature promotion does not satisfy.

Prayer: Pray for the leader God has set over you, that the Love of God will fill his heart.
