SPEAK A NEW LANGUAGE (The Language of Victory)
SPEAK A NEW LANGUAGE
(The Language of Victory)
In the encounter of David and Goliath, the Philistines had gathered their armies to battle the Israelites. Each day for 40 days, the champion of the Philistines, Goliath, came out to taunt and ridicule the Israelites. (1 Samuel 17:11)
David’s older brothers were on the battleground, so his father Jesse sent him to take some food to them. When David arrived, he saw how Goliath was taunting the Israelites and asked, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel?” (1 Samuel 17:26)
While the Israelite army was running and cowering in fear, David was speaking a language of victory. He was already thinking about the reward for defeating Goliath because he knew the victory was already his. He faced Goliath without fear and invoked the name of the Lord.
Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts.”
(I Samuel 17:45)
Even before the actual battle, David had won it in the realms of the spirit with his attitude and language of victory. Your attitude towards any challenge determines how you will come out in the end. Rather than being discouraged and accepting defeat, have a victorious attitude because victory is already yours.
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
I Corinthians 15:57
Declare with me:
I am victorious. No situation will stop me from experiencing triumph. Victory is mine in Jesus’ name. Amen!
