Matthew 13:16
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

Spiritual blindness is the state in which one cannot see spiritual things, recognise spiritual truth or understand the mysteries of God. It is the state that results in a hardness of heart, which leads people to destruction. Jesus Christ did not shy away from pointing out the spiritual blindness of the people of Israel.

The miracles Jesus Christ performed among them did not convince them that He was the Messiah. He quoted from the book of Isaiah that though they could see physically, they could not perceive things spiritually (Matthew 13:14). Spiritual blindness is not an intentional act of the human will. Just as spiritual sight comes from the Holy Ghost, spiritual blindness comes from satan.

Those who reject the knowledge of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ usually think they do so by their own volition. They fail to realise they are manipulated by the prince of the power of the air who is the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:3-4).

Pray that you’ll see anything you need to see in the spirit realm.
