Month Theme: The Anointing

Topic: The Accessibility of the Anointing

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 4:1-13

Main Text:

John 1:16

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

We sometimes make it look as if spiritual things are all locked up in heaven. Christ has already come to the world and out of His fullness we have received grace. We have all things that pertain to life and godliness through His coming to earth. We don’t always have to reach out into heaven for spiritual blessings. He lives in us and we bear fruit as He lives through us. To struggle for spiritual virtue is to deny that Christ came down and now lives in us.

The Word of God is very close to you. It is in your heart, and your mouth is the missile- launcher that releases the Word of God (Romans 10:6-8). Instead of always running around for a word of wisdom or prophecy from a man or woman of God, open your mouth and speak. You have the Word. You do not have to struggle to experience Jesus Christ’s power. Bluntly put, you don’t have to go through hell to walk in revelation knowledge.

People will tell you to try hard. Others will say that you need many years of tuition before you can receive the Word and practise it. No! To assume this position is to bring Christ up again from the dead. It means you reject the fact that He defeated the powers of darkness in hell and resurrected so that we can live. Don’t go chasing after the anointing in other people’s lives. You have a unique anointing within yourself.

Prayer: Pray that any dormant anointing in you will be quickened by the Holy Ghost.
