THE ATTITUDE OF THANKSGIVING BY SAM KORANKYE ANKRAH
THE ATTITUDE OF THANKSGIVING
Hallelujah! We thank God for the gift of life and His everlasting mercies. I want to share with you an attitude that is able to unlock hidden treasures and bring God’s favour upon you – the attitude of THANKSGIVING.
In Psalms 100:4-5;
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
Thanksgiving in Hebrew is ‘Yadah’ (to cast down / throw down), meaning to sacrifice something or to part with value and status to exalt another.
What lessons are there for us in thanksgiving:
1. Be aware of the benefits of God you enjoy.
Bringing into remembrance the blessings of God in your life and His goodness.
2. Be honest in your Thanksgiving.
Knowing and appreciating that God is the source of your successes.
3. Be vigorous in your Thanksgiving. Make it heard and profound. Don’t delay in praising God. Sharing your testimony and the evidence of God’s power to others is a deep form of thanksgiving.
4. Don’t prioritize your thanksgiving.
Expressing your thanksgiving must come naturally about both little and big things.
When you learn to be thankful; God will make your tank full.
