Topic: THE BLOOD AS THE FINAL JUDGEMENT
Exodus 12:29-31 KJV
And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said.
In our Christian warfare, Satan has nothing to lose, because he’s lost everything already; his final doom has been spelt out and there’s nothing he can do about it. That’s why he doesn’t easily give up.
Our theme Scripture is a typical example of how Satan doesn’t easily give up until the Blood of Jesus is applied. Upon all the miracles, signs, and wonders God wrought in Egypt through Moses and Aaron, Pharoah was adamant about letting the Israelites go out of Egypt. It took the application of blood as the final judgement, for Pharaoh to give up. The verse 31 of our theme Scripture says, “(Pharaoh) called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and GO, serve the Lord, as ye have said.”
Is there any area of your life Satan has held to ransom and wouldn’t let go? Use the Blood of Jesus as the final judgment, and he will give up! This is one major reason why we’re admonished to partake of the Holy Communion. Don’t absent yourself from the Lord’s Supper; it’s your right and privilege in Christ!
