THE CHURCH- A PLACE OF TRANSFORMATION BY SAM KORANKYE ANKRAH
THE CHURCH- A PLACE OF TRANSFORMATION
“And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.”
Matthew 21:13-14 KJV
After His glorious entry into Jerusalem, Jesus Christ entered into the temple and upon seeing what the temple had turned into, began to restore order by driving out the money lenders and all those who had turned the temple into a business place. After he did that, he reminded them of the original purpose of the temple, that it was a place of prayer and fellowship with God. Jesus Christ did not end there but proceeded to heal the blind and the lame. By performing these miracles, Jesus Christ demonstrated what the church must be, a place of transformation.
Jesus wants us to understand that the House of God is a house of prayer, healing, and miracles. The church is meant to be a place that brings transformation. We must never come to church and go back the same. Every day must make you a better person. You must never regard the House of God as just any other place to be, it is a sacred place. The anointing must bring change in your life and cause you to excel.
God instructed us to create a sanctuary for Him so He could be closer to us and we could seek His face anytime we desire. We must understand that anytime we go to church, we visit God in His House and so it must be kept sacred among all other places.
“Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them.”
Pray with me;
Lord, we are grateful that You love us so much that You decided to dwell among us. Help us to find our purpose in the church and help us to serve You wholeheartedly at church in Jesus’ name.
