Theme: Preaching, Healing and Deliverance

Topic: The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Gospel of Grace

Scripture Reading:
Ephesians 2:7-9; Luke 4:18-19; Matthew 23:1-12

Main Text:
Ephesians 2:8
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Those who are poor in spirit and those who are physically poor can receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ because of the grace of God. The physically poor or poor in spirit don’t have to pay for their salvation with money or good works respectively. We are saved by grace. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Gospel of grace (Ephesians 2:8-9).

The word “grace” in the above scripture reference is ‘charis’, which means favour, liberality and graciousness. God forgives and saves us through His act of favour, not by our own good deeds. He blesses us liberally with His gifts without reservation. The Gospel is the glad tidings of salvation by grace, not good works.

It is an act of divine blessing for any group of people to receive the Gospel of Jesus  Christ. Without preaching the Gospel people cannot be saved. It is also an act of favour to be called by God to preach the Gospel – the feet of those who preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ are beautiful (Romans 10:13-15).

Pray for a deeper revelation of the Grace of God towards you.
