Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Joshua 1:8 (NIV)

Blessed day to you all. Today I want you to understand the power of meditation

Meditation is from the Latin word, meditari, which means to reflect on, to study and to practice. As Christians, we are encouraged to, first of all, meditate on the Word of God and reflect on its meaning in the context of God’s love.

Now, what most of us do not know is that meditation is a powerful tool for success. Most successful people or people who achieved their goals will tell you that they never stopped thinking about that goal or purpose. They were always meditating on it and in that process, God gave them new and better ideas to become successful.

What are the things you most desperately want? Start by praying to God for guidance and approval. Then write them down and meditate upon them in the light of relevant scripture. As you do this, God will give you ideas and wisdom to make them bigger than you ever imagined. God will also give you direction on how to change your lifestyle or behavior to suit the goals you want to attain.

As you ponder and meditate over this message, ask God for grace and strength to never give up on any of your goals; even when they seem so far and unattainable at the moment.

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. (Timothy 4:15)

Pray with me;

Dear God, we thank you for teaching us how to dream and have goals. Even as we live each day according to your Word, we pray that you would give us more insight into the things we need to do to achieve those goals. Thank you so much for your love, in the name of Jesus. Amen
