Topic: TRUE AND FAITHFUL WORDS

THEME SCRIPTURE:
Revelation 21:5-7 (KJV)
[5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. [6] And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. [7] He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

MESSAGE:
After Apostle John had been shown a vision of the day of God and the world to come, the Almighty God, sitting upon the throne, spoke, to affirm the truthfulness and trustworthiness of His Words.

The second part of the verse 5 of our theme Scripture reveals the very Words of the Almighty God: “Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” We’ve got to come to the place where we know, without any shadow of doubt, that, when God says He will do something, once He has spoken, it is done! The Greek word translated, “true” in verse 5 also means, “That which is opposite to what is fictitious, counterfeit, imaginary, simulated, or pretended.”

And the Greek word translated, “faithful” also means, “Trustworthy.” The day of God and the world to come is not the figment of someone’s imagination; it is true and trustworthy. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33).

To buttress the truthfulness and trustworthiness of God’s Word, the One who sits on the throne said to John, “It is done” (Revelation 21:6a). Notice, He didn’t say, “It will be done.” “It is done”, is a present hour reality.

As far as God is concerned, what we’re looking forward to as a futuristic event, is already done! The day of God and the world to come is not something God is about to figure out how it will be; it is already done! You’ve got to call, done, what God says, it’s done.
