WATCH WHAT YOU SAY
Not that which goes into the mouth defiles a man; but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.
A lot of Christians have lost many things in their lives because of the carelessness of their speech. One of the ways to find out whether or not a person has faith is to listen to the words they speak. The devil is always looking for an occasion to take advantage of your negative confessions. The reason people keep making negative statements is that they don’t know that the words they speak have a great influence over their lives. No circumstance in your life should permit you to say anything negative, because you can use your mouth to disqualify yourself for a miracle.
What hindered the children of Israel from going into the Promised Land was not the devil but their own words. They said, “We are not able”. They conceded that their adversaries were stronger and mightier than they were and it would be impossible for them to conquer the land (Num. 13:1-2; 25-33). These fearful statements delayed their entry into the Promised Land.
Wrong confessions will cost you your victory. It may be the reason your progress in life has remained static over the years. I want to encourage you today to learn to speak positively about any situation you may find yourself in.
• Pray and ask God to deliver you from any negative words you have spoken that have stopped the manifestation of your blessings.
• Until a man is taught to speak rightly, he will never get much out of life.
• Matthew 15:18, Mark 11:24
