Theme: Hallelujah

Topic: Who Qualifies as a Worshipper?

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 15:1-5

Main Text:
Psalm 15:1
“LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?”

After so many years of seeking after God in worship and service to Him, King David posed a hypothetical question about the identity of true worshippers (Psalm 15:1), and went ahead to answer his own question. The answer David gave is very instructive. He identified the personal qualities of a worshipper which we shall be looking at in the concluding part of this study.

From Psalm 15, the qualities of a true worshipper include personal integrity, interpersonal perfection, spiritual discernment, and financial honesty garnished with the fear of God. Personal integrity is indispensable in the life of a worshipper. A man or woman of integrity is one that  walks uprightly, works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his/her heart (Psalm 15:2).

A man of integrity walks in uprightness. The upright person has great respect for God and for His Word. He/she has a secure walk or lifestyle (Proverbs 10:9), because they are guided by integrity (Proverbs 11:3), and avoids crooked paths (Philippians 2:15). The upright has understanding (Proverbs 15:21), they walk in the way of God’s wisdom.

Pray that you will walk uprightly in all your ways, in integrity and purity.
