20th July 2019
READ: Revelation 4:1-11
“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker” – Psalm 95:6
If you understand that the presence of God drives away evil spirits, you will constantly cultivate the presence of God in your life. There are three reasons why the presence of God stirs up evil spirits.
The first reason is that the Bible teaches that God inhabits praises. When praise and worship go on, the presence of God becomes very strong and the evil spirits feel the fire (Psalm 22:3). The second reason is that, in the presence of God, the Word of God is preached and taught. The Word of God is a sharp sword (Hebrews 4:12). No demon enjoys having swords thrown at him.
The third reason is that the Word of God is a light. (John 1:5). In the presence of God, the light shines forth and demons are unable to function.
The more of the Word you have and the more of the presence of God you have, the more you will be set free from evil spirits.
It is possible to create a church environment everywhere. You can do this by carrying your worship tapes and CDs wherever you go. You can have them in your home or in your car or in your office. Why not play worship music while you work? You can also carry preaching tapes with you wherever you go. Preaching and worship are the two main items for creating the right atmosphere. I always create my own atmosphere with preaching tapes and worship music. This environment is anti-demonic.
