Month Theme: Purpose and Divine Assistance

Topic: Your Future will Betray your Past

Scripture Reading:

Acts 28:1-6; Daniel 3:23-27

Main Text:

Daniel 3:27

27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

The young Hebrew boys’ victory over the fire was comprehensive – their bodies were not burnt, their hair was not singed, their clothes did not change and the smell of smoke did not stay on them. Those who look at you tomorrow will not know that you have ever been thrown into a furnace of affliction.

Your prophecy will contradict your history, your future will betray your past and your tomorrow will be diametrically opposed to your today. Fire loses its power in the presence of favour and the floods of life dry up on the floor of mercy.

The apostle Paul survived snakebite! His remaining intact caused the people on the Island of Malta to marvel (Acts 28:3-6). They erroneously concluded that he was a god. Initially, the people who saw the snake bite him said he was a sinner but after a short time they changed their minds. You will come out of your affliction looking so glorious that those who see you will marvel and change their confession.

Pray and declare that no error in your past will deny you the blessings of your future. God delivered you through Jesus Christ.
