(You shall reap a hundredfold)

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭26:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There was famine in the land. Isaac planned to relocate from the land of famine to Egypt, a place of abundance at the time. God appeared to him and instructed him not to leave.
God asked Isaac to dwell in that same land of famine and He would bless him. He obeyed and God performed His Word.

Let’s take a few lessons from Isaac in this story:

1. He walked in obedience with God. Obeying God means doing His will. What is God asking you to do? Like Isaac, your obedience will release blessings into your life.

2. He exercised faith.
The circumstance at the time was not favourable yet Isaac believed in God to fulfil His Word. Believe in God at all times.

3. He put his faith into action.
It’s not easy to exercise faith. This requires some physical effort. I’m sure he saw others migrating. People gave up cultivating their farms. Yet Isaac stayed and continued farming. In return God blessed him. Take a stand with the Word of God.

“The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭26:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Pray with me;
Heavenly Father, I pray for the grace to remain obedient to Your Word. As I walk in Your will, may I continue to prosper in Jesus’ name.
